Well I have been wondering about getting a new 20 gallon, and planting it real thick, and then getting live bearers. Either platys guppys or swordtails. But is there a place that would buy fish? Like petco, pet smart, or online even? Or even locally, do u think I could sell or give away fish?

The big chain stores won't buy fish from individuals. Local fish stores "might" buy them or give you store credit. You'd need to talk to them first to be sure.

Local stores? Is food club a local store? Where I live, any local pet shops arent even available. It might be something we could use here, I would do that instead of Prtsmart.

Try Petco. I've had them take some off my hands before. You won't get anything for them. It really depends on the fish manager though.
