does any one know if i can submerge a power head?

An aqua clear? Uhh, i'd make sure before doing anything drastick.
Try asking the folks at your lfs or email/call the company.

CAnt submerge a powerhead?

Man I dont think I have ever seen a PH that you could not submerge. All the powerheads I have seen have sealed epoxy bodies.
