Hello! Iv recently switched my tank to a 55 gallon. I'm really interested in getting a predatory fish to keep.

I'm not interested in it just to see it rip feeder fish apart or whatever, predatory fish just really fascinate me and I would treat them with the care and respect they deserve :)

Iv been told I could do 2 red belly piranhas. I know they are schooling fish, but I was also told if you get 2 of them as young juveniles, they usually will grow up happy.

Iv also really considered a single oscar in the tank

Also Iv considered a single black piranha in the tank.

Any other suggestions/advice? Much appreciated!!

A Congo puffer would be interesting. They have an interesting hunting style. African butterflyfish could work too.
