Yes there is a dark spot on her, she is bigger than usual(hopefully), and was hanging around corners.

The sole survivor from what I can see.... Missed all the action cos I was at work, gutted. He will be named z (that's zed for all you yanks... Not zee, lol). Why? Cos zeds dead baby (or at least he will b soon!)

The other platys look incredibly full, lazing around doing not very much!

One more question if you will... Does a female give birth to all her fry at once? She still seems to have a dark patch towards her tail, although she's not nearly as chunky. Two stage release?

Usually she gives birth to all of them. There are some cases when they give birth over a two day period. If she doesn't look as chunky she probably is done giving birth.

Haha yeah. I've sadly never witnessed my own swordtails give birth. Youtube videos, but never my own. I always miss it by a good 20 minutes.
