Question about botias

Do they hide like plecos? i bought one so it will eat the snails in my tank, but i cant seem to find it anywehre. Is it nocturnal ish?

Yes they are nocturnal and most botias like to be in groups. What kind is it?

not all of them are nocturnal though.

not a clue, its blueish black wtih a red tail, thats all i really know, i haven;t seen to much of it since i put it into the tank.

some like to hide some dont it depends on the individual fish or the dominant one because the rest tend to follow. a group of 3 or more would probably make yours feel safer plus places that it can always retreat to.
