Question about bottom dwelling fish with sand?

My aquarium has sand for the terrain. I was wondering if this limits my selection of bottom dwelling fish (plecos, cory catfish), or if the fish will still be healthy and fine with a sand bottom. Thanks

From what I've read, most Plecos and Cories perfer sand. It's less abrasive.

yeah, TOmatt's right. and some(mainly the burrowwers)practically require sand to stay healthy.

Sand is actually a good substrate for bottom-dwellers.
