Is it ok to put a Plecostomus in a tank with a Rainbow Shark?

They could work if the tanks has many hiding areas. Both species are territorial

It'll work depending on the size of your take. The pleco may chase off the shark.

I guess my biggest concern really, is the size difference between the two. The Pleco is much bigger than the Shark. I guess I'll try it out and just keep an eye on them. Make sure they play nice with eachother. Lol.

I doubt the pleco will go after the shark, they tend to keep to themselves and prefer the shadows.

I have personally never seen an aggressive pleco. I had one in a 55g tank with a rainbow shark and they never had issues with each other. The plec was massive almost a foot long.
