ramshorn snails

Do they multiply like crazy???????????? I almost bought one today.

I'll try to wait for the new tank, but it won't be easy. You know how it is.

Yep, they multiply exponentially. I started with 5 about a year ago. I cannot begin to tell you how many I have now.

Have you considered an apple snail (p. bridgessi)? They are nicely sized and don't create a population boom.

I have quite a few ramshorn and pond snails. I remove some every day. I would love an aople snail. JC has quite a rather beautiful one.

I might get a clown loach, and with the angelicus botia I already have, would they eat him? I should have my 55 by next weekend.

yeah a clown laoch will eat any snail egg as soon as it finds it lol

But will they eat an apple snail full grown? Will they kill it? I'm not worried about any eggs. Let them have them.

My clown loaches only ate them if they were smaller than 1/2 inch. Any larger and they ignored them or just pestered them. Nothing smaller ever survived them nor the skunk botia loaches. My clowns were only 3 inches long though. I had ramshorns and mystery snails.

My two clown loaches team up together and have killed every snail (even large ones) I put into their tank. It is now my snail desposal unit when I get hitch hiking snails on new plants LOL.

FWIW, my angelfish and clown loaches have murdered every snail I've tried to keep. Mystery, apple, ramshorn, etc.
