Random thought - adding Betta to 55

Would it be possible to add a male Betta to my 55 gallon or would it be overkill.

My current stock
2 angels
3 dg
2 bn plecos
8 black skirt tetras
5 boesemani rainbows

Ps my black skirts don't seem to be of the nippy type.

Black skirt tetras are fin nippers. DGs are related to bettas so you'll have aggression issues. Bettas do well in a species tank.

IMO the gouramis, angels, and possibly the skirt tetras and rainbows would just go to town on a male betta. At the least, he would be stressed from all the activity.
