reason to worry?

So my gourami has been hanging out at the surface today. Looks like he breaks the surface to take a breath, then spits a bubble out on the surface.. do these guys make bubble nests too or is it something else to worry about?

i could be wrong but iv read that like bettas gouramis go to the surface to breath and some do make bubble nest

It is fine, gouramis regularly make bubble nests even when not breeding.
