I am thinking of adding a red tail shark to my 65g. It is planted well, great filtration and has several good pieces of driftwood. I have 14 Tiger Barbs, 1 Gold Gourami, 1 Blue Gourami, 2 Petricola Cats, 2 Pepper Cats and a Rubber Lip Pleco. Would this be a good addition?

Awesome...I pulled the trigger and got a beautiful juvenile! He is happy as all get out!! Looks SO good in the tank. Are these guys loners or should there be more than one?

My understanding is that you typically get one.. as adults they tend to fight with other Red Tailed Sharks.
Ive read that in larger tanks they will claim their own areas (ie one will take the side of the tank with the large rock and plants while the other takes the other side with the cave). Im not sure what qualifies as a "large" tank though.
Id do a little research online or ask at your LFS (if you have one you trust).
