So my goal is to eventually move my butterfly koi into a pond I build, however, they are still small maybe 4-5' so I ended up getting a 150 gallon tank for them and 2 plecos. I used tap water initially, but just found out about RO water so I plan to do small changes every week with RO water. I live in GA and heard our tap is usually high in hardness and alkalinity. My pumps are as follows:

Penn Plax Cascade 1500 GPH Canister Filter;
Tetra 26075 Whisper Aquarium Air Pump AP150, up to 150-Gallon.

I want to include plants, but you know how koi are so any recommendation? Id like to know if its better to go with stone, gravel, etc. I really want my tank comfortable for them and very appealing. I do plan to get a heater! Thoughts so far? All ideas/experiences/advice welcomed! :thanks:
