I recently purchased an approximatly 5 yr old ID catfish, believing that at 1 ft, it was fullgrown. I have a 75 gallon tank, with 2 pacus, 4 angle fish, 1 clown knife, and several smaller species. Since then, I have learned the true nature of ID catfish needs... This tank is in a corporate environment, so if need be I could probably raise enough money to buy a 200 gallon tank.

What should I do?

yes they do get rather large....in the wild. most, and i stress...most, never make it over 18 inches in captivity. the 75 wouldnt be bad if he didnt have so many tankmates so a bigger tank should be in the near future. most id shark owners put them into a 300 gal pond. The 200 gal would be fine though.
