Hello All,
I have liked the clown loach for a long time, but I always thought it might be too large to be with my other fish. My tank does not look full to me.... And I have a little confusion on the best way to calculate how many fish can go in a tank.
I know the clown loach grows to large sizes, do you think it would be ok in my 55 gallon?
I have;

3 boesemani rainbow
1 opaline gourami
4 glofish tetra
2 swordtails
2 red-blue tetra
4 platy
5 zebra danio
2 cory catfish
4 neon tetra

Thanks!

I'd have to say no. Clowns get very large and they are social so need groups; a group of adults would need a 200+ gal tank to be comfortable. You're close to fully stocked now but you have some room to bump up some of your groups; the boesmani's and the corys should have a few more added to their current numbers.

Nope, and it would be recommended to have at least 3 of them too..which you for sure have no room for.
