I have a school of 6 rosy barbs in my 55 gallon tank. I see them breed all the time, but then they eat their eggs, and I am ok with that. However, the other day I was cleaning my tank, and I found one rosy barb baby hiding/stuck behind a rock and the wall and his/her parents could not get at him. So I freed him and caught him. I did not have any where to put him, so I took one my live plants and some gravel from the tank, put them in a flower vase, add some water from my tank and put the little guy in there. From what I read, he has to be at least a couple of weeks old at this point. I have been feeding him ground up flakes, and changing the water almost everyday. He is alive and well. I know this is not ideal for him, and I am just looking for advice about what to do next.
