Some of you may know because of my username, the sae is my most favorite fish and it's a must in every planted tank. They're just so entertaining to watch looking for food. Can I keep one in a 20 long heavily planted tank with a betta and cherry barbs? In my experience, the SAE do just fine alone and do not have to be in schools. I had one that just hanged out with my rainbow fish. The SAE at my store are about 2 inches. I will rehome it once it gets larger. Happy New Years everybody!
