My mate has an upside down catfish and some corydories in a 40litre (11gallon) tank. He currently has an algae problem and is looking into getting some siamese algae eaters but i heard these guys dont do well in community tanks and as they get older they stop feeding on algae and more on the pellets/wafers that are provided. He is going to do a full tank clean and reduce the amount of time the light is on but still unsure about the SAE from what I have researched.

Does anyone have SAE with other algae eaters in the same tanks?

Many thanks

Are you sure you are not confusing Siamese algae eaters with Chinese algae eaters? I don't have any, but was considering getting SAEs so I did a ton of research and everything I came across said the SAEs were great with most others but the Chinese AEs were mean and aggressive.

But like I said - that's all just on paper, I never got them.
