Sailfin Pleco

I just got a 1.5" Sailfin Pleco and I got Hikari Algae Wafers.

I wonder how much and how often should I feed him?

Those algae wafers are big, should I break it into smaller pieces for my sailfin pleco?

I break the algae wafers in half for my smaller plecos. If it were me, I'd go ahead and feed him 1/2 a wafer every night.

Congrads on the new pleco!

I've seen them get up to 15 inches at the most. Still, that's a good sized fish. Breaking the wafer up is ok. You could also use small pieces of blanched zucchini squash or lettuce for a treat once in a while. A piece of driftwood in the tank is a good idea too, they love to rasp away at it. Good luck with your new fish.
