Has anyone had any luck with different species of tetra schooling together?

Some of my similar looking tetras will school together, but not like the tetras do with their own species. Some very closely related tetras will also school together a bit. In general, my tetras will only school with other species if there isn't a complete school of their own kind, or if there is some upheaval in the tank (ie, angels being jerks and chasing the tetras).

My neons & rummynoses are inseparable, and I have a male lyre-tail king cobra guppy who thinks he's a harlequin rasbora.

Sometimes my neons school with my neons. Sometimes my glowlights school with my glowlights. Sometimes they all school together and sometimes they don't school at all. Even schooling tetras don't school all the time. Neons and glowlights definitely will school together. They are an attractive combination and both are very pretty fish.
