I've heard that they bleach out, corrode slowly, and throw ph up. So I wouldn't, but you try researching it online. There are also realistic looking fake ones at stores as a possible alternative.

i dont no for sure but in a small tank they might up your PH becuase of the minerals in them

Okay well I guess I'll skip them then, I would have liked to add them to my 75 gallon mbuna tank but if it's that much trouble I wont bother.
