I recently acquired a beautiful "thunderbolt" pattern crayfish after much deliberation. I couldn't be happier with it, the only problem is that it is of course nocturnal. I was wondering if leaving my lights on "moonlight mode" a dim blue hue during the afternoon and night and on full spectrum during the day would harm it, my fish, or plants. Alternatively i could set the "day" for afternoon and night and night while i am at work. For the first few days I had it the crayfish scuttled all around in moonlight mode but now that its learned when the light is all the way off it only comes out then. The room it is is can be blacked out during the day.
