I've been wanting to do this same thing, a fiddler crab tank!
I wouldn't use a 10gal tank tho, I would use a 20gal long.
That just screams to be used as such, and you can get off cheap beacuse you don't need the hood,s o you can just get a nice screen cover for reptile cages.
