So they worst has happened. I built a diy cave for my fish and glued the gravel to the pvc pipe with permatex clear rtv silicone. I read on multiple sites that this silicone was safe and waited 48 hours to cure but it must not have been long enough. All of my 10 cardinal tetras and all 3 of my gbrs were dead overnight. Only survivor right now is my dwarf gourami.

Do I need to completely empty and clean my tank out and restart from scratch? Or can I add a bunch of carbon to eat away the leached silicone poison and keep my dwarf gourami alive? Might be out of the fish keeping thing here for a long time now

Well that’s at least a plus but it happened right in the middle of a broken cycle too so I’m sure my dg is done for as well. :/
