Yes it is suppose to the vinegar type smell means it's curing (drying) did you use aquarium safe silicone?

Its called red devil and not sure by what you mean about the type but here is a pic

Looks fine don't worry about the smell it will go away just let it dry for 3-5 days when your using it for aquarium related applications

When i re sealed my tank the smell took around 3 days to go away

It releases ammonia and other stuff when it cures. Don't smell it haha! But if it's aquarium safe, it'll be fine once it's cured.
