Small Algae Eater?

Amano shrimp are the premier algae eating shrimp, but most other dwarf shrimps will also eat algae and their bioload is miniscule.
Also the shrimps are so small and light they have no problem gettin up on the plants.
If u end up gettin ottos I would recomend ottocinculus cocoma.

Are we talking about the true SAE (Crossocheilus siamensis)? I read this was true of flying foxes (Epalzeorhynchos kalopterus) which are sometimes mislabeled as SAEs.

I believe so. Can be fine until maturity I think.

I would get a Siamese algae eater not Chinese they have the same look just less aggressive.

Agree Chinese alga eater are great cleaners, but when they become adults they become aggressive towards each other, also they start to like the coat fro other fish versus the algae, and they start to stress other fish constantly.

As far as I know the Siamese algae eater is also a good algae eater, and does not show the aggressive behavior as the CAE.
