Smelly Tank

hi all,
I have a 10 gal cycled tank. My levels are all 0, except nitrate which is 1-2, and ph which is 7.2. I do weekly 20% WCs, but my tank smells. I cant smell it, until i open the hood, and i am overwhelmed with a smell. I dont know whats wrong...

Is the cover of the tank clean? Maybe there is some mildew on the underside of the cover.

I think the good is clean, but there may be mildew on my lights.

Yes I would check the hood, I have a kit and the hood is very cheap. Sometimes I have algae growing on it (gross)

Yea, there is this white stuff on it, with food leftovers. It's really grosss

Yup, hard water deposits and food make for a nasty smell. I find using a wet paper towel every other week or so to wipe down the lid works wonders in keeping it under control.
