I've had a few snails for about two weeks or three and I havnt been feeding them... I've heard someone son here mention they feed there snails lettuce but I didn't know what to feed them and how to... Do any of you feed your snails and what do you feed them??

I don't purposely feed my snails but when I make blanched zucchini or put in algae tablets at night for the BNP, Otos, and Whiptail cats, the snails come and eat as well. Usually snails can find plenty of food in most tanks but if your concerned there are alot of things better to feed than lettuce. Sinking shrimp pellets seem to be a favorite but algae tablets are the easiest. I prefer the softened zucchini.

I do algae wafers on occasion. They get high on them, so I have to limit their intake. Lol. They can usually find food on their own, especially since I leave my tank light on way too long for the plants specifically because I have 3 snails. Any algae growth is eaten by them. It works out for me.
