I have gotten a few snails in my tank, came with some plants, and since I don't have any fish yet, I've been watching them a lot and they're pretty neat.

My question is: can anybody ID them? They seem to be planar (flat), they have two whisker looking things, they're kind of a brownish color with small black blotches on them. I've tried researching a little and have come up with nothing.

Thanks for any help :)

Sounds like pond snails if they came in with plants. That is the most common snail associated with plants. They will reproduce like CRAZY unless you have something keeping them in check. They may look cute, but you won't like them so much down the road. :D If you are interested in snails, you may like the MTS or Apple snails. The Apple snails are larger in size and very cute. :D
