Snails, Snails, and more Snails....

The 8 pond snails have turned into 80, and its time they go.

I currently have 2 mystery snails that I dont wnat to get eaten by loaches.

I had the idea of moving the 2 mysteries to the 10 gal, and buying a loach or 2 to clean house.

Question is, do the mysteries need to be acclimated, and how many loaches do i need?

You don't need any loaches. All you need to do is put some lettuce in that tank and when you see it covered with snails pull it out. Just repeat till they're all gone.

Fish are like chems, never buy them to fix a problem.

I'm kind of heartless so I just throw them in the trash can. But that's just me.

Offer the snails to fish stores for free. Put an ad on craig's list or freecycle in your area. There might be someone with loaches or puffers who would be delighted to take them off your hands.
