I recently bought a snakleike blue fish for my goldfish aquarium. I have been trying to determine what type of fish it is but I have been unsuccessful so far. So if anyone knows about fishes or has information on a site that copuld help me identify this fish, it would be mostly appreciated. The description is below:

- Seems to breath air or at least likes to put his head out of the tank for long periods of time.
- Buries himself sometimes.
- Very small head.
- Very small or unexistent eyes
- Very small or unexistent glls
- Very small or unexistent fins
- Active during nights only.
- Dark blue color.
- In one opportunity left the tank and "walked" some 1 meter away. I found it after sevrela hours and it was alive.
- Looks more like a snake than like an eel.
- I can send a picture of it if necessary.

I thank you in advance for your help.

Piece of Blue plastic: Very helpful and smart.

Attached are some pictures of it to see if someone can identify this fish.

It's not a fish at all; rather, it's a caecilian (probably Typhlonectes natans) - an amphibian. At what temperature is said aquarium maintained?

A basic caresheet is available here.

wow. looks really wierd. kinda scary and extremely ugly.
its quite uninteresting also.

but is that a grown up creature?
i would really like to see how it becomes when it is fully grown up.

You are looking at it....they change not at all (except for size and bulk) from the point where they are born (they are viviparous) to maturity.

75ºF-80ºF is just fine....and be sure to get a good, fitted screen top over your aquarium or screen any open areas, as these chaps are consummate escape artists, and can squeeze through very small gaps.
