so..whats this?

so i was dosing my tank with ammonia a few moments ago, and i decided was lookin at everything, and i went to check the temp and i noticed these..."things" on my thermometer cord just swaying in the current.. i have no clue what it is, if i had to guess i would say some kind of algea since i dont see how it could be anything else..

any clue what that is?

My best guess would be that it is just deposits. Wipe it off before it gets hard.

Does it come off easily or is it actually growing on the cord? Doesn't look like any algae that I know of. Are you sure it's not just debris?

Is that a power cord cause you never know what deposits may be getting attracted to the em field of the cord especially metals.

Can't say i've seen something like that before. I would simply try whiping it off right away and check it often incase it returns.

it isnt a power cord it is the cord for my digital thermometer, ill just wipe it off and hope it doesnt come back. thanks.
