So my freshwater tank had ich a while back. Maybe about 6 months ago. I ended up using ich-remedy which was a blue based medication. Welp, it died all my sealant and hoses as it said it would. However, now the dye is bleeding from the sealant back into the tank and turning my water blue.

Anyone know the best way to handle this? Should I just ride it out and let the dye bleed back into the water? I am running a canister filter on this tank as well. Just replaced the carbon pads in there to see if that will help with the color. The live stock seem to be perfectly fine. Parameters are in check as well.

Thanks for the help!

Myself I would just ride it out. Like the carbon idea. Probably most of the med is deactivated by organic material but unfortunately a little dye goes a long way (as I'm finding out in the laundry using potassium permanganate).
