I was hoping to get a colony of bladder snails going but I keep finding these empty snail shells in my tank for some reason. It's kinda upsetting, because they're one of the first occupants of my tank (one of them hitchhiked from the plants I purchased when I was doing my fishless cycle a couple of months ago), I had about 10 last month but now I'm probably only down to 3 or 4. My water perimeters: 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, a tiny bit of nitrate, ph is 6.2.

What could it be? Could it be the lack of food? I took my dwarf baby tears out last month because they weren't growing right, and I can't get any algae growing for some reason (1.5 watts per gallon, 14 hours a day). Or could my new betta and tiger shrimps be attacking them? My snails are staying on top of the tank above the water. :banghead:

my ghost shrimp eat snails,so it might be the tiger shrimp. a betta could do that easily also
