Hello everyone i have a question that i would love an answer too. I have a 10 gallon tank and i would like to know how can i turn it into a South American theme tank.

-What kind of substrate ?
-What kind of fish ?
-What kind of plants if any ?
-Anything else!!!

(Or does anyone have a better theme for a 10g tank)

You will be limited on fish. A few tetras and dwarf corys maybe. Plants are tougher not many amazonian plants stay small, better off doing Asian plants. That would give you more fish to work with as well.

I agree with rich, you will be pretty limited on selection. I'd choose 1 small tetra and have 6-7 of them and then have 6-8 Dwarf Cories (C. hastatus, C. habrosus, or C. pygmaeus).

A pair of Apistos would work fine. I have a pair of Borelli in a 10 with 6 Ember Tetras and 4 Corydoras Habrosus and haven't had any problems. The Borelli also spawn frequently in there. As far as plants, I have a Red Melon Sword(which stays smaller in lower lighting) Pygmy Chain Swords and alot of Cladophora growing on the driftwood.
