Starting over after being away

Well, things were crazy over here and I was gone for 3 months. My parents couldn't take care of the tanks so one of them got taken apart and two are just kinda... Sitting. Anyway, I now have 3 tanks that I'm gonna start over on. A 5g, 36g bow front, and a 55g. All were previously freshwater tanks with plants and some of the plants are still alive. The 5 had a dwarf puffer, the 36 had a gbr pair and some tetras, and unfortunately the 55 was a discus tank. (RIP).

ANYWAY I need some ideas of what to do with the tanks. I want to stay freshwater but other than that, all ideas are welcome. I just need some brainstorming.

I decided to be a crazy teenager and move in with my boyfriend. That didn't go well so I moved back with my parents and here I am!

Personally in the 55 I have a soft spot for either angels or discus, and the 36 I'd maybe go for a pair of super red apistogramas.

Have you considered an all cichlid aquarium? Maybe all africans?

Yea I love discus and I miss the ones I had.

I've thought about trying Africans but I know nothing about them. Also, I love love LOVE planted tanks so that could be a problem.
