Aquarium Advice Regular
Hey, i'm looking for some opinions on my stocking plan. I've ran into multiple problems setting up this tank and i'd like to avoid further ones!
I originally got 4 juvenile Keyhole cichlids, 2 paired up and started tormenting the other 2 (which are male and female), so I had to move the 2 unpaired fish out into a quarantine tank.
The pair has spawned and currently has free swimming fry which i'm also going to have to move out soon as this is supposed to be a community tank.
Would it be unwise to say I can still have a community tank with a Keyhole pair? If they won't tolerate others i'm prepared to separate the pair. I still have the other male in quarantine, so maybe... pair;1 male; or 2 males would work? I don't know.
Here's what i'm thinking:
10x Espei or Harlequin rasboras - top/middle portion of the tank - can't decide between the 2
10x Rummynose tetras for a schooling effect - middle of the tank
6x Bronze Corydoras
2x Keyhole cichlids
1x Bristlenose pleco (already in the tank)
The tank is a planted 40 breeder, 36x18x16
