Ok so I went looking at fish tanks at Pet Smart and they have a 150g tank that I'm thinking about getting soon to house my Goldie. Also some more tropical fish, but can a Goldie live with seme aggressive fish?

Why are you wanting to mix them? It is better to pick one or the other.

there is a way. get a few small goldfish (very young) and raise them with the africans or whatever you want (as long as these are fairly peaceful or semi-aggro). then when they are bigger they will have adapted to the temp and parameters the other fish like.

They can adapt at any age, getting them small is asking for them to be beat up and destroyed. This shouldn't matter though since this would not be the ideal setup for goldfish, which means it should not be done.

It doesn't matter how bad they want them, if they can't take proper care of them they shouldn't have them.

Yes, long-bodied goldfish can live in a pond, some people feel that is the only acceptable home for them.
