Stocking help

I just added 2 firemouth cichlids to my tank of 13 tiger barbs and a red tail shark 55g. I did lots of research and came to the conclusion that this combo would work, but the guy at my lfs said the firemouths will eat all my fish when they mature. Is this true ? I find hard to believe

The firemouths shouldn't eat the Tiger Barbs unless the barbs are puny.

No the barbs are about 2 in now, what about the rts?

The RTS should leave the barbs alone as well, and at full size one RTS is about the same length as a firemouth, so you should be OK.

Ya I found it hard to believe that the fm could eat the rts, thanks . Do u think I could add fish or am I to the limit?
