so im getting a larger tank to put my fish in about 25 - 30g. Because of my cae i have to get a larger tank. is there anyway to prevent him of his future behavior of sucking on my other fish?
what fish should i put with him?
and how many fish can i put in a 25 - 30g?

I would rehome the CAE if you want any other fish, a 25-30g tank is much to small with these fish hitting the 5-6" and larger, although I've never seen one and they become more aggressive with age.

I agree...I really wouldn't bother with a 30 gal...that's not suitable for a CAE. Either bigger tank or rehome your CAE.
