Strange Mold looking substance

this morning I noticed a strange fuzzy sort of substance in my tank maybe the size of a walnut or so. it resembles when you leave cheese or something out too long in the freezer, its kind of white-ish green-ish and fuzzy.. what could this be? harmful? Ill post pix when i get home from work.

Sounds like a peice of food or a fish that is growing fungus. Just remove it.

I'd have to agree with Rich, it sounds exactly like food that has fungus on it.

yep. i found a shrimp pellet like that last time i did a gravel vac. it had gotten nudged under a bridge and the cories forgot about it.

yeah I came home and it was gone! somebody had a fuzzy lunch.. prolly my pleco.
