The substrate such as Eco-Complete, does it go in the tank prior to or after the cycling is complete? Thanks

Either way is fine... i can be a mess though when you add it, so the sooner the better... def will be easiest to add it before adding fish.

What kind of substrate is in there now? Mixing substrates can sometimes turn out to be a little ugly... even if you try and keep it on top, eventually it is all going to be a mixed up jumble.

fort384, just starting up this 75g tank and have non yet. Smaller tank is not planted

ah... good. Add it before you add water. It will be much less of a mess that way.

I agree....its much easier to add it before you put water in the tank...that way if you want to shape it, like more substrate towards the back, you can do that. It doesn't really matter either way though.
