substrate transfer?
I curently have a 10 gallon but i am settiing up a 29 gallon. Should i put the gravel from my 10 gallon in the bottom of the 29 and then put pool filter sand on top or just the sand?

I would go with just the sand. Sooner or later the gravel and sand will get mixed. Easier to go with just the sand. If you want to seed the tank with some gravel, just put the gravel in a stocking and you can remove it when the new tank is cycled.

Rich is correct IMO, sand is easier and sooner or later the sand will work it's way down through the gravel and be on the bottom anyway. Seeding the tank with existing gravel is a great idea btw.
