So I had a black Molly fish for a year now, and about two weeks ago, she started jumping out the tank when I opened the lid. I was able to save her the few times before, but this time she jumped down the drain !!!! I feel so bad omg. Will she die quick and fast? Or slowly :( there is no getting her back either she's gone

Ugh. Poor thing. Do fish actually feel pain?

We'll I guess that good to hear. And well whenever I opened the lid it would swim up to the surface and try to jump out! I had to scoop it off the counter then dump her back in the tank, and sometimes she would try make her escape and smash into the lid... Lol... I guess it was a little neurotic

Well my tank is on the bar counter right next to a sink with wide drain holes

Test your water. Mollies are pigs for food and I've had them come up fast for food, but not that crazy.

How big is the tank ?

Also I'd get a screen insert for your sink drain. Or any sink you may work with your tanks around.
