Swithing tanks help!

So I had a crack in my old 55 and I just got a new 5t tank from petsmart for free with led lights, anyways I had a few fish in my tank and put them in a 20 gallon tank I had one the side. I notice a dull color appearing on some of my fish after the transfer to the 20. Will they be ok? I have the filter from the 55 on the 20 and it is super over crowded but they will be going back to the 55 tomorrow. The fish in the 20 are 3 angel fish, African leaf, African featherfin cat, rainbow shark and a small sailfin pleco. Please don't tell me my 55 is too small because I do plan on getting rid of the pleco once he gets bigger and I will be moving in a few years anyways. But will my fish survive over night?

It's just stress from the move, they should be fine. My BN pleco gets brown spots on him when he gets stressed out.

Just checked some leves.. My ph is about 7.4 and the ammonia looks like it's 0 so I'm hoping its just alittle stress, I added some stress coat to the tank hope it helps them calm down

Agree with Mebbid. He should color back up within a day or 2. Also, just curious, is the substrate in your 55 (or was) the same white sand? I have an albino bn pleco that looked sooooo pale when she was in a tank with PFS sand, but when she moved to a dark sanded tank, her color popped. Could be a little pale from the light colored substrate, it gives some fish a washed out look.

Oh, and they will probably be fine for a few days in the smaller tank. Just make sure to run your filter, check you levels, and do a few extra water changes if needed.
