So... Today I got 3 oto's and my gourami nibbled all their tails so now their tails are rounded, should I put the gourami in my guppy tank? or will he do the same to them?

i would take the oto's to the other tank, the gourami was there first

but I am having algae problems in the gourami's current tank, so I would like to have the oto's in that tank

It sounds like you just have a nasty gourami. I can't believe he attacked ottos, that's just weird. It's not like they even share the same space in the tank. I would think he just needs to be rehomed.

If you have algae in the tank, figure out why. Don't be so quick to just have a species do the work for you. Algae is caused by things like too much light. Troubleshoot to see what's causing yours.
