Tank filtration

I set up a a 6 gal today and i currently have one of my old corner filters in there
Im looking to get an HOB filter
Any recommendations?


Another question,

So i se up this tank to ouse my bossy blie lobster who is harassing my pleco
I filled the 6 halfway with water from my main tank

If i add an HOB will it have ti cycle

Or is the bacteria already in my water?

bacteria do not stay in the water colum, they adhere to surfaces such as rocks, plants, the tank glass ect. so try to put some established filter media in the hob you decide on, or some gravel from an established tank
