tank lid?

My mate lent me a tank to put my fish in whilst I changed my gravel to sand in my big tank. He's now said he doesn't need it back so I can have it if I want it. Problem is it has no lid. And therefore no lights. Does anyone know where I can get a spare lid for a 2ft by 1ft tank without paying £40ish pounds. I'm in the uk.

Thanks

Find someone that works with acrylic sheets and that will custom cut one for you. I did that for my 55 gal with a middle divider and both sides are the same when I flip them around.

I went with a thickness ( I believe 1/4 ) but would suggest thicker maybe 5/16 or 3/8.

Costed me $20 US.
