Tank stand on a hardwood floor?
Is it reccomended to put a rug under a tank stand when putting it on a hardwood floor? The floor in question is flat and level, just wondering it it would be beneficial to raise the tank off the floor a bit to cushion the weight a bit.

I had a tank that was on bare hardwood with no problems. CLearly cleaning up any spills is important.
I have nother tank that is a 75Gal that is 4' long. I put a 6' carpet runner under it just to 'frame' the stand so to speak. I think it all depends on how you want it to look vs functionality.
