Hello! I was just wondering what fish I could have in a 10 gallon tank with 5 ember tetras. Would Harlequin Rasboras or Platies work? Thanks!

I would probably do a dwarf gourami. Another school of fish would make a 10g look too busy imho.

I'd up the embers to 8 or so, add some cherry shrimp, and call it a day. Or skip the shrimp and instead add a honey or sparkling gourami.

You could try some bottom swimmers to add lower activity. If you have ample hiding places I always recommend khuli loaches or Pygmy corys

Not a fan of platies in a ten gal, particularly with timid fish like ember tetras. You want to aim for something less boisterous and less likely to gobble up all the food.
