Tannins !!!

I boiled my new piece of dw 10 times and I had to put it in my tank (mother didn't want it boiling or soaking) and my water looks like tea is this harmful and how do I remove it

It is not harmful at all and some people actually like it. Fish usually like it too. It will eventually stop leeching tannins, and frequent water changes can help clear up the water.

Nothing you can do for it but water changes..... each water change will somewhat lessen the tea color. I do agree that the fish love it, my rummys have never been happier.
